We are seeking an experienced Value Consultant to join our Health Economics and Data Analysis practice at Adelphi Values PROVE. This role is primarily focused on the design, development, interpretation, and communication of health economic models and comparative effectiveness evidence, including indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs), network meta-analyses (NMAs), and evidence synthesis programmes, to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across product development, market access, reimbursement, and health technology assessment (HTA).
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of complex health economic modelling and data analysis projects, provide technical oversight to project teams, and contribute to the development of innovative methodologies and analytical approaches. Client interaction, project leadership and technical excellence are important aspects of the role.
Your key activities will include (but not be limited to):
- Health economic and data analysis project delivery
- Lead the delivery of complex evidence generation projects, including:
- Cost-effectiveness models
- Cost-utility models
- Budget impact models
- Early economic models
- Indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs) (e.g. Network meta-analyses (NMAs), Matching-adjusted indirect comparisons (MAICs), Simulated treatment comparisons (STCs) etc.)
- Design analytical approaches appropriate to decision-making, reimbursement, and HTA requirements.
- Provide recommendations regarding optimal evidence packages for payer and HTA decision-making.
- Critically evaluate clinical, epidemiological, utility, resource use, cost, and real-world evidence data sources.
- Lead the development of and oversee statistical and economic analyses supporting comparative effectiveness and value assessment.
- Interpret findings and provide strategic recommendations based on model outputs and evidence synthesis results.
- Lead the development of technical reports, study documentation, HTA support materials, and scientific publications.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of methodological quality, transparency, and scientific integrity.
- Mentoring and capability building
- Support the professional development of junior colleagues through project-based coaching and formal training programmes.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and capability development initiatives.

- Support the growth of modelling and evidence synthesis capabilities across the business.
- Contribute to thought leadership, conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and methodological research initiatives.
About you
Essential skills
- MSc, MPhil, PhD or equivalent qualification in Health Economics, Economics, Operational Research, Biostatistics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Extensive experience in health economic modelling within a consultancy, pharmaceutical company, HTA body, or related healthcare setting.
- Advanced understanding of:
- Cost-effectiveness analysis
- Decision analytic modelling
- Markov and partitioned survival models
- Budget impact modelling
- Sensitivity analysis techniques
- HTA requirements across major markets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong quality control and technical review capabilities.
- Experience using one or more of: Excel/VBA, R, Python, other statistical software packages.
- Line management and project leadership experience.
Desirable skills
- Experience supporting NICE, JCAs, CADTH, PBAC, ICER, G-BA or other HTA submissions, and presenting technical findings to HTA agencies, payers, advisory boards, or scientific audiences.
- Experience with survival analysis and advanced statistical methods.
