We're looking for an experienced Domain Architect / Delivery Manager with deep expertise in the UK public sector to design and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions, while ensuring delivery stays on track, on budget, and aligned with government standards. This is a blended role for someone equally comfortable shaping architectural direction and running the day to day delivery that turns it into working services.

You'll work closely with business, technology, and delivery stakeholders across government departments and agencies, translating strategic objectives into architectural designs and delivery plans that enable innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. This role requires active SC clearance.

What You'll Do

  • Design end to end cloud based solutions, leveraging hyperscaler services and industry best practice
  • Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with departmental priorities, technology standards, and enterprise architecture principles
  • Lead and manage delivery across applications, data, and infrastructure domains, using agile or hybrid delivery methods as appropriate
  • Ensure solutions align with government service standards, GDS design principles, and relevant public sector frameworks
  • Provide technical leadership, governance, and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across multi supplier and multi department environments
  • Advise on integration patterns between legacy public sector systems and modern digital platforms
  • Support governance processes, including service assessments, assurance gateways, and reporting to programme boards
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance citizen outcomes and operational efficiency

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect and/or Delivery Manager in complex public sector environments
  • Strong expertise in cloud architecture, including security, networking, integration, and modern application design
  • Proven track record designing and delivering scalable, resilient solutions using cloud native technologies
  • Strong understanding of the UK public sector, including citizen services, procurement frameworks
  • Experience working within government delivery frameworks and assurance processes (for example, GDS service standards or equivalent)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including with senior civil servants and multi supplier teams
  • Active SC (Security Check) clearance
  • Relevant certifications (highly desirable)
  • Strong written and spoken English

Why Join Us

We combine deep domain knowledge with technical and delivery excellence, giving our architects and delivery leads the context to design and deliver solutions that actually work for public services, not just the technology. You'll work alongside experienced consultants who value clarity, fairness, and accountability as much as you do.
