Adeptus Talent is recruiting for an Electronics Engineer on behalf of a Wiltshire-based client operating within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
Overview: Support the design, development, integration, and testing of avionics and electrical systems. Work across the full product lifecycle from concept to production, within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end PCB design (requirements, schematic, layout, manufacture, testing).
- Develop multi-layer analogue, digital, and mixed-signal designs.
- Ensure designs meet DFM, DFA, and DFT requirements.
- Perform signal / power integrity and circuit analysis.
- Conduct PCB bring-up, debugging, and validation testing.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and production test solutions.
- Use lab equipment to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
- Support compliance (EMC / EMI, CE / UKCA) and design reviews.
- Maintain documentation and manage configuration control.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering production-ready PCB designs.
- Strong knowledge of DFM / DFA / DFT and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in PCB debugging and hardware validation.
- Familiarity with lab test equipment and test methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Eligible for UK security clearance (BPSS) and right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- EMC-aware design and PCB standards (e.g. IPC).
- Experience with test fixtures or automated testing.
- Background in safety-critical or high-reliability systems.
- Prototype or rapid development experience.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Aerospace, defence, or high-performance engineering background.
- UK driving licence.
