Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Athlone, Ireland €450 - €600 per day Full Time | Contract We're working with an established engineering and construction business looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for significant mechanical and electrical packages within a complex engineering and construction environment. We're particularly interested in Quantity Surveyors with a strong mechanical bias and experience working for an M&E, Mechanical or Building Services contractor. The Role Working closely with the project and commercial teams, you'll manage all aspects of cost control and commercial administration throughout project delivery. Responsibilities will include: * Manage subcontractor applications, variations and final accounts * Identify, price and manage project variations and change * Prepare interim valuations and commercial reports * Manage subcontract procurement and commercial agreements * Monitor project costs, cash flow, budgets and forecasts * Work closely with site teams to identify changes and capture cost impacts * Manage commercial risks and opportunities * Support monthly cost reporting and final account preparation * Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders About You * Experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor within M&E or Building Services * Strong mechanical experience particularly welcomed * Experience managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts * Good knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, JCT, RIAI or similar * Strong commercial, negotiation and cost management skills * Experience on pharmaceutical, data centre, industrial, manufacturing or other major engineering projects would be advantageous * Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
