We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading engineering mechanical and electrical services contractor delivering critical works on Hinkley Point C. This is a key commercial leadership role responsible for managing contractual, commercial and financial performance across major engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership and senior stakeholders to drive commercial success and maximise project value.
The Role
You will lead commercial and contractual activities throughout the project lifecycle, providing commercial guidance to project teams while ensuring contractual obligations, risk management processes and commercial strategies are effectively implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy across major projects
- Manage contract administration and contractual risk
- Oversee valuations, applications for payment and cashflow management
- Lead variation management and change control processes
- Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial performance
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Produce and present commercial reports and forecasts
- Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior leadership
Requirements
- Quantity Surveying Qualification
- 5+ Years Quantity Surveying Experience
- NEC & JCT Contract Experience (NEC3/NEC4)
- Strong Commercial Acumen
