We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer with 10+ years of industry experience to support advanced aerospace and aviation programmes, with a particular focus on aircraft systems safety and emerging electrical technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving next-generation aircraft platforms and highly integrated systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in performing safety analysis of aircraft systems, with demonstrable experience across a range of electrical and power-related technologies, including:

  • Electric motors
  • Electric Power Units (EPUs)
  • High-voltage electrical systems
  • Battery systems and energy storage solutions
  • Power management and distribution systems

You will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development of robust safety assessments throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring compliance with aerospace safety standards and regulatory expectations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of ARP4761 and its application to aerospace safety processes.
  • Experience conducting Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), including analysis of thermal runaway, electric fire, and related system hazards.
  • Proven ability to develop Safety Cases and Preliminary/System Safety Assessments (PSSA/SSA).
  • Ideally based in the UK; candidates located in Europe will also be considered, subject to occasional travel to the UK.
