Adeptus is recruiting for a CNC Turner to join our client's established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering who is looking to develop their skills within a precision manufacturing environment. Experience within an Aerospace engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts (Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm | Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm)

The Role: As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including machines with Y-axis capability, producing precision components to customer drawings and specifications. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including Y-axis capability.
  • Carrying out in-cycle inspection and verification of components produced.
  • Working from customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing route cards and process instructions.
  • Following inspection procedures to ensure product conformity.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records of machining activities.
  • Operating multiple CNC machines where possible to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • Using a range of precision measuring equipment to check component quality.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of manufacturing processes.
