Adeptus is recruiting for a CNC Turner to join our client's established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical engineering who is looking to develop their skills within a precision manufacturing environment. Experience within an Aerospace engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts (Monday to Thursday: 6:00am β 2:00pm | Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm β 10:00pm | Friday: 7:00am β 12:00pm)
The Role: As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including machines with Y-axis capability, producing precision components to customer drawings and specifications. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Setting and operating Mazak CNC turning machines, including Y-axis capability.
- Carrying out in-cycle inspection and verification of components produced.
- Working from customer drawings, specifications, manufacturing route cards and process instructions.
- Following inspection procedures to ensure product conformity.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records of machining activities.
- Operating multiple CNC machines where possible to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Using a range of precision measuring equipment to check component quality.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of manufacturing processes.
