Hinkley Point C (Bridgwater), Somerset

9 day fortnight (every other Friday off)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance of £5780

Travel to and from expensed (accommodation allowance of circa £1400 PCM if staying in the area)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Manager to lead the governance, coordination, design oversight and assurance of Temporary Works across major construction packages at Hinkley Point C. Working in line with BS 5975:2019 and CDM 2015, you will ensure Temporary Works are designed, checked, implemented and removed safely, compliantly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Temporary Works management across allocated project packages.
  • Oversee Temporary Works design briefs, design reviews and independent verification processes.
  • Manage Temporary Works registers, permits, inspections and certification.
  • Ensure compliance with BS 5975, CDM Regulations and project quality standards.
  • Mentor Temporary Works Supervisors and support project-wide safety and engineering excellence.
  • Engage with clients, contractors and key stakeholders to manage risks and programme interfaces.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng).
  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certified.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Temporary Works leadership role on major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Temporary Works design, structural analysis and risk management.
  • Experience with engineering and BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro or Tekla is advantageous.
