The Opportunity:
We are recruiting a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 engineering services provider delivering works on Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, supporting a diverse UK and European supply chain while ensuring products and services consistently meet the highest quality standards.
The Role:
Working closely with suppliers, procurement, engineering and project teams, you will be responsible for supplier qualification, auditing, supplier performance management and continuous improvement activities across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier qualification and supplier audits
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Review Contract Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis
- Support manufacturing quality activities and source inspections
- Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement and construction teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project quality requirements
Requirements:
- Experience within Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, coatings, extrusion, NDT or similar
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience within a regulated industry
- Experience leading audits and supplier improvement activities
- Experience within Nuclear, Defence, Rail, Aerospace, Food, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas or another regulated industry would be advantageous.
