Overview
Mechanical Project Engineer required to deliver mechanical building services packages on a large, highly regulated infrastructure project. Suitable for engineers from building services or nuclear backgrounds. Nuclear experience beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical building services projects (HVAC, pipework, heating & cooling).
- Manage engineering and project delivery activities on site.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage project programmes and schedules.
- Coordinate labour, materials, and procurement activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project cost, progress, and work-in-progress.
Essential Requirements
- ONC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Experience as a Mechanical or Building Services Project Engineer.
- Experience delivering projects in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance.
- Good stakeholder and contractor management skills.
Desirable
- Nuclear project experience.
- Knowledge of nuclear safety culture.
- Experience with Qualified Equipment (EQ).
- Working towards HNC or higher qualification.
- Working towards APM PMQ or equivalent.
