An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 engineering services provider delivering electrical works on the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project. This role is open to junior, mid-level and experienced candidates, including individuals from other regulated or safety-critical sectors looking to transition into nuclear. The role offers clear progression, with responsibility aligned to experience and increased over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical projects to safety, quality, programme and cost targets
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors
- Review electrical designs, drawings and technical specifications
- Monitor project progress, costs and commercial performance
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors
- Support health, safety and quality compliance in line with site and nuclear standards
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge, including electrical installations
- Experience in engineering, construction or project delivery environments
- Experience within regulated sectors is desirable (nuclear, rail, oil & gas, defence, data centres)
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Project Management role preferred
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
