Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Hampshire / Winchester area Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 DOE Type: Permanent Sector: Quantity Surveying / Project Management Consultancy We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, independently owned Quantity Surveying and Project Management consultancy in Hampshire. The business delivers a varied portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, defence, industrial and marine sectors, and is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced QS capable of managing projects across both pre and post-contract stages. This is an opportunity to join a smaller consultancy offering genuine autonomy, direct client exposure and the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of the business. The Role * Full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying * Cost planning, estimating and budgeting * Procurement and tender management * Preparation and assessment of tender documentation * Contract administration * Interim valuations and payment recommendations * Change control and variation management * Cost reporting and forecasting * Final accounts * JCT contract administration * Working with NEC contracts where applicable * Managing client and stakeholder relationships * Providing commercial advice throughout project delivery * Supporting junior members of the team * Contributing to client relationships and future opportunities About You We're looking for someone with: * Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy environment * Strong pre and post-contract experience * Good commercial and cost management knowledge * Experience working with JCT contracts * NEC experience advantageous * Strong client-facing and communication skills * Ability to independently manage projects and workload * Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred * MRICS/Chartered status advantageous, although candidates working towards chartership will also be considered The Opportunity You'll be joining an established independent consultancy where you'll work closely with senior decision-makers and have considerably more visibility and influence than you might within a larger corporate environment.
