QC Analyst – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Location: North West London / Hertfordshire border | Permanent, full-time The company Our client is an MHRA-licensed UK manufacturer, working from a single modern site on the North West London / Hertfordshire border. They make pharmaceuticals and medical devices, both for their own brands and as a contract manufacturer for partner businesses. They're growing their Quality Control laboratory and are looking for a QC Analyst to join the team. The role You'll test raw materials, in-process, stability and finished product samples, using approved analytical methods, in a busy GMP laboratory. It's a good next step for an analyst with some GMP experience. You'll have broad exposure across product types, work closely with Production, QA and Technical teams on a single site, and have room to develop your skills in investigations and method work. Key responsibilities * Testing raw materials, in-process, stability and finished product samples using approved analytical methods * Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, including HPLC, GC, UV and FTIR * Generating and reporting analytical results in line with GMP and data integrity requirements * Supporting OOS, OOT, deviation and laboratory investigations * Preparing and maintaining laboratory documentation, including SOPs, test methods and reports * Supporting method validation, verification and transfer * Making sure work meets GMP, laboratory safety and regulatory requirements * Taking part in audits, inspections and continuous improvement * Keeping the lab tidy and maintaining equipment and stock levels * Working with colleagues and other teams to meet business objectives What you'll need * A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related scientific discipline * At least 1 year's experience in a GMP pharmaceutical QC laboratory * Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or GC * Awareness of ICH guidelines and Ph. Eur. / USP pharmacopoeial testing * Exposure to OOS/OOT investigations and CAPA * An understanding of GMP, data integrity and method validation * Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills What you'll bring You care about quality and accuracy in both your testing and your documentation.
