I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy that is supporting a major UK water utility on a programme of wastewater network improvement projects. They're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on an initial 12-month contract, offering the opportunity to work on a range of technically interesting projects with strong potential for extension.
The Role
Working alongside Programme Managers and delivery teams, you'll support the planning and delivery of wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and in line with technical, commercial and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Preparing project documentation and technical records.
- Reviewing O&M manuals, Health & Safety files and as-built drawings.
- Providing technical and commercial support throughout project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and Health & Safety legislation.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- HNC/Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working on wastewater or water infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of sewer networks and pumping stations.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and NRSWA.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
