We're recruiting for a SHEQ Officer for a high hazardous chemicals manufacturer. This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in health and safety who wants to step into a high-hazard environment and gain valuable experience across safety, environmental and quality systems.
The Role
You will support the site leadership team with day-to-day Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) activities, helping ensure safe and compliant operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting risk assessments, hazard identification and safe systems of work
- Assisting with contractor safety and site inductions
- Supporting incident and near-miss investigations
- Helping monitor H&S and environmental performance
- Supporting audits, inspections and ISO-based management systems
About You
- Background in health & safety or SHEQ within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of core H&S principles (risk assessment, incident investigation, compliance)
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent experience
- Proactive and keen to learn
High-hazard or COMAH experience is not essential — this role offers hands-on exposure and development.
