I'm working with a global company, specialising in sustainable fuels. They are looking for a SHEQ Manager for their upper-tier COMAH site in East Essex. This is a challenging, high-impact role where you will have the chance to truly make your mark. You will work closely with the Site Lead to drive key improvements, strengthen safety culture, and lead a team of 4 SHEQ professionals, while also supporting the development of others across HSEQ and Process Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of site-wide SHEQ strategy and culture
  • Champion a positive, proactive safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with COMAH, environmental permits, and ISO standards
  • Oversee HAZOPs, PTW, MOC, and emergency response planning
  • Engage with regulators (HSE, EA) and senior stakeholders
  • Continuously improve safety performance and quality systems

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years in SHEQ leadership on a Top Tier COMAH site
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of COMAH, HSE, environmental law & ISO frameworks, and understanding of Process Safety
  • Strong experience with incident investigation & auditing
  • Confident communicator and team leader
