We’re working with a well-established chemical manufacturer to recruit a Process & Safety Engineer to support operations on their upper tier COMAH site. This role suits an engineer with around 4-7 years’ experience looking to develop across process engineering, plant support and process safety in a regulated environment.
Role Overview
You’ll provide day-to-day process engineering support to manufacturing operations while contributing to process safety activities, plant optimisation and capex projects. Working closely with operations and projects teams, you’ll help ensure safe, efficient and compliant plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and participate in HAZOP, HAZID, What-If and LOPA studies
- Provide process troubleshooting and optimisation support
- Maintain process safety and technical documentation
- Support capex projects, including design input, MOC and commissioning
- Assist with incident investigations, PSSRs and action close-out
- Contribute to COMAH compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 4–7 years’ experience in chemical or regulated manufacturing
- Practical understanding of plant operations and process safety tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
