About the Role:
Our client is looking for a motivated Production Process Operator to join their team. This role involves batch manufacturing of products and working closely with the production team to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll retrieve, weigh, and mix/react chemical ingredients, monitor equipment, and record process information. Maintaining workplace safety, compliance, and housekeeping are critical aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations.
- Manufacture products according to batch sheets and specifications, reporting deviations immediately.
- Make accurate process adjustments as instructed by the laboratory staff.
- Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operate forklifts as needed (subject to licensing).
- Report incidents promptly using the appropriate systems.
- Assist with monitoring raw materials and preparing finished products for warehouse movement.
- Participate in design and hazard reviews.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a chemical/process industry
- Strong numeracy and communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing PPE
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
Desirable:
- Experience working on a COMAH site
- Forklift truck licence
- Understanding of chemical processes and troubleshooting production equipment
- NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject, IOSH Managing Safely, or Level 2 Maths (GCSE Grade C or above)
Training:
Initial training will be conducted over several weeks, during Monday to Thursday.
