We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering business that is looking for a contract Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of major engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical engineering background who has strong technical writing and documentation experience. You will play a key role in ensuring engineering documentation is technically robust, compliant and delivered to the highest standards.
The Role
Working closely with engineering and project teams, you will be responsible for reviewing technical information, supervising design outputs and producing the documentation required to safely deliver complex projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Producing and approving Risk Assessments (RAMS) and Method Statements
- Preparing Lifting Plans and Lifting Schedules
- Producing and reviewing FAT/SAT (Factory Acceptance Testing/Site Acceptance Testing)
