An established biotechnology manufacturer is looking for a Cleaning Specialist to join its Operations team in Kent, taking ownership of cleaning process development and verification across a multi-product GMP environment. This is a hands-on, science-led role for someone who has genuinely run the studies, not just signed them off. You'll design and execute laboratory cleaning studies, develop and optimise Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) cycles, and generate the data that demonstrates cleaning robustness across different equipment surfaces and product residue profiles. If you enjoy the technical detail of cleaning validation and want to see your work directly underpin product quality, this one's worth a look.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and running process development activities — documentation, training, and execution in line with SOPs
  • Working with cross-functional teams to define sampling strategies, acceptance criteria, and cleaning verification requirements
  • Partnering with the Analytical team and toxicologist to write, review, and approve cleaning study protocols
  • Executing laboratory cleaning studies using representative materials of construction (MOC) coupons
  • Generating and interpreting study data to support cleaning process development and verification
  • Writing cleaning assessment reports
  • Supporting the development and optimisation of CIP and COP cycles
  • Creating and maintaining cleaning-related SOPs to current industry standards

What you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience in GMP manufacturing environments, including cleaning verification of equipment in multi-product cleanroom areas
  • Working knowledge of EU GMP Guidelines (EudraLex Volume 4) and the compliance standards that go with them
  • Proven experience designing and executing laboratory cleaning studies
  • Hands-on experience developing CIP and COP cycles to support cleaning verification / validation activities

What's on offer:

  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Annual Incentive Plan
  • Pension Scheme, matched up to 10%
