Our leading manufacturing client is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer on a permanent staff basis. You will be responsible for maintenance support and tactical execution of asset and reliability activities.
Duties:
- Completes moderately complex value-added preventive maintenance investigations as directed by the Reliability and Integrity Leader.
- Requests Reliability Technicians investigations, selecting the applicable predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies.
- Assists the Project Engineering team to examine the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
- Participate, audit and improve meetings, as required by the OE&R process.
- Consistently applies root-cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA) techniques to investigate moderately complex reliability issues.
- Provides Technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel as required.
- Applies value analysis to repair / replace, repair / design, and make / buy decisions.
- Utilize RCM process for existing and new equipment.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Preferably a relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HND in a similar engineering discipline.
- Member of the IMechE.
- Experience of process engineering in a continuous manufacturing process environment; preferably a top tier COMAH Site or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated effective use of and adherence to legislative Process Safety systems and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills including 6 Sigma, RCA, FEMA and RCM.
- Ability to read or produce engineering drawings, P&IDs and trip schedules.
