This role is ideally looking for someone who is Instrument bias within maintenance with a solid appreciation for PLCs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safe working practices and ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work and safety systems
- Maintenance of Field Instruments - level, flow, temp, pressure
- Support automation and instrumentation activities aligned with engineering objectives
- Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair control and analyser equipment
- Optimise control loops and system performance alongside engineering teams
- Manage small automation projects and support CAPEX initiatives
- Update technical documentation and equipment history records
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and support Management of Change processes
Requirements
- HNC/HND in Electrical or similar technical field (I&C)
- Experience in a continuous manufacturing or process plant environment
- Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA - control systems in general
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
