This role is ideally looking for someone who is Instrument bias within maintenance with a solid appreciation for PLCs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe working practices and ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work and safety systems
  • Maintenance of Field Instruments - level, flow, temp, pressure
  • Support automation and instrumentation activities aligned with engineering objectives
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair control and analyser equipment
  • Optimise control loops and system performance alongside engineering teams
  • Manage small automation projects and support CAPEX initiatives
  • Update technical documentation and equipment history records
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and support Management of Change processes

Requirements

  • HNC/HND in Electrical or similar technical field (I&C)
  • Experience in a continuous manufacturing or process plant environment
  • Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA - control systems in general
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices
  • Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
