Our leading chemicals manufacturing client based in Essex is seeking a Project Engineer on a staff basis. The Project Engineer is responsible for managing engineering maintenance and capital project activities across the site, covering mechanical, electrical and control systems. The role focuses on ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of engineering projects and maintenance activities while supporting site reliability, compliance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for improvement, develop engineering concepts into fully defined Management of Change (MOC) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) proposals, and oversee projects from initial concept through to commissioning. They will also ensure engineering documentation, maintenance systems and asset records remain accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering maintenance, compliance inspections and reliability improvement activities to ensure plant assets operate safely and efficiently.
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through design, approval, implementation and commissioning, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
