Lead maintenance and project engineering at a COMAH chemical/process site. The Engineering Manager oversees all maintenance, engineering and project activities across the site, ensuring plant reliability, safety and regulatory compliance at all times. The role leads a multi-disciplined team and drives performance across both reactive and planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance, engineering and project activities site-wide.
- Ensure plant reliability, safety and compliance.
- Lead and develop mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams.
- Manage maintenance and reliability of plant equipment.
- Control budgets and manage costs.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors.
- Plan projects and shutdowns (CDM experience preferred).
- Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance (COMAH preferred).
- Drive continuous improvement and performance monitoring (KPIs, downtime, efficiency).
- Implement Permit to Work systems, risk assessments and method statements.
- Execute change management (MOC) and incident investigations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing engineering teams on industrial or COMAH sites.
- Experience in maintenance and reliability of plant equipment.
- Budget control and cost management.
- Contractor and subcontractor management.
- Project and shutdown planning (CDM experience preferred).
- Health, safety and environmental compliance within regulated environments (COMAH preferred).
- Continuous improvement and performance monitoring (KPIs, downtime, efficiency).
- Permit to Work systems, risk assessments and method statements.
- Change management (MOC) and incident investigations.
