Our client is looking to recruit an experienced EC&I Technician to join their busy engineering team at their COMAH facility based in Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and safety-focused business offering long-term stability, training and career development within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
The role will involve undertaking preventative and reactive maintenance activities across a wide range of electrical, controls and instrumentation systems to support site safety, reliability and production performance.
Requirements:
- As an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding and engineering activities across the plant.
- Previous experience within COMAH is preferred; however, candidates from other heavy industrial or highly regulated environments will also be considered.
- Experience with:
- 415V 3-phase electrical systems
- PLC/DCS systems
- Hardwired control systems
- Digital and analogue instrumentation
- Electrical fault finding and maintenance
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Permit to Work systems
- Electrical isolations
- Risk assessments and safe systems of work
- CMMS systems
- COMAH / Chemical Manufacturing
- ATEX / DSEAR hazardous areas
- Oil & Gas
- Power Generation
- Pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing industries
Qualifications & Experience:
- Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 equivalent within Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation
- COMPEX 1-4 preferred, however training can be provided within 6 months
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance background within an industrial environment
