A permanent role based in Cheshire, offering a salary of £60/65K plus great benefits. The position involves working on pharmaceutical and health care projects for a design and build engineering consultancy that has significantly grown in the UK market over the last 10 years.
Required Experience:
- Preparing detailed budgets and cost plans for projects
- Providing commercial support for contract analysis and negotiating terms and conditions with clients
- Preparing, submitting, and managing applications, invoices, and variations with the client
- Managing subcontract accounts, including contract administration and general commercial input into projects
- Preparing and monitoring risk analysis schedules and KPIs
- Supporting tendering and estimating for new projects
- Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals are met and visiting construction sites to monitor progress and manage the valuation process
What you’ll bring:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Sound knowledge of construction methods and costs, e.g., NEC Contracts
- Ideally experienced in sectors like Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Nuclear, or similar regulated environments
- Willingness to travel
