About the Role:
We’re currently seeking a Chemical Process Operator to join a high-performing team within a well-established chemical manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with excellent opportunities for long-term career development and progression.
As a key member of the production team, you’ll play a vital role in operating and monitoring chemical processes to world-class standards—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Safety First, Always

Champion a safety-first mindset and actively participate in site safety programmes
*
Operate processes within clearly defined safety and environmental limits
*
Support incident reporting and investigations to drive continuous improvement
*
Follow strict housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe environment
*
Provide thorough handovers to ensure operational continuity and safety
Process Operations
*
Operate chemical processes following SOPs and batch sheets
*
Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify process improvements
*
Complete batch documentation and data logs accurately and in real-time
*
Support shift leaders with production meeting attendance and reporting
*
Report maintenance issues using the on-site CMMS and help drive timely resolution
Team Contribution & Development
*
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and QC teams
*
Take part in training and cross-skilling opportunities
*
Help maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in chemical process operations—ideally on a COMAH-regulated site
City & Guilds Process Operations qualification (or similar), or significant hands-on experience
Strong awareness of HSE regulations, COSHH, and safe systems of work
Forklift and/or MEWP experience (desirable but not essential)
Confidence in troubleshooting and suggesting process improvements
Team player with a proactive and reliable work ethic
First Aid trained and/or Risk Assessment experience would be a bonus
