Architectural Work Package Manager – Reading and Cambridge - Permanent – Competitive Salary & Car Allowance, Pension & Health Care.
Our client is a design and build engineering consultancy business that has taken huge market share within the UK pharmaceutical and health care design and build sector over the last 10 years and continues to grow due to a strong, solid foundation of clients, projects and work packages. The role offers the chance to work with highly skilled people on a large and interesting project. The business requires someone on a permanent basis due to the training and development opportunities on offer and the sheer level of projects and success. You will work with some of the best, and well-known pharmaceutical giants in major projects worth millions of pounds.
What will you be doing?
- You’ll be responsible for providing engineering support to the Project Manager, as well as managing smaller projects independently.
- Assisting construction programmes.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Procuring subcontract work packages and materials, as well ensuring they meet project timescale.
- Set and maintain high standards of workmanship during construction including monitoring of snags and creation of ITP’s.
- Liaising with all disciplines to ensure works are accurately completed.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience as a work package manager, project engineer or related field.
- The ability to establish good working relationships with clients and manage smaller projects independently.
- Expertise in an engineering discipline – Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural or similar.
- You should currently hold a CSCS card and a minimum of an HNC in a related field.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and cleanroom environments is preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to travel.
- Conversant with CDM regulations.
