The Mission
This is not an Account Management role. We are looking for a pure-play hunter who specializes in winning Managed SOC, MDR, and recurring security services within the UK Public Sector. Our client is a specialist UK cyber security provider investing heavily in their Public Sector function for the 2026/27 financial year. They need a senior individual contributor who can navigate complex procurement, open doors from scratch, and close high-value recurring contracts.
The Role: New Business Focus
- You will be given 4–5 warm public sector accounts to facilitate your ramp-up, but the mandate is clear: Net-New Revenue.
- Sub-Vertical Ownership: You’ll be assigned a specific sub-vertical (Central Gov, Local Gov, NHS, or Blue Light) to dominate.
- Full Cycle Mastery: From market research and outbound messaging to closing and handover.
- Lean & Agile: No heavy SDR machine here. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your own territory and the senior IC mentality to execute without hand-holding.
- Activity-Driven: This is a fast-paced environment where initiative is rewarded over waiting for marketing leads.
What Success Looks Like
- Cyber Pedigree: You have a proven track record selling Managed SOC, MDR, or MSS services.
- Public Sector Fluency: You understand the nuances of G-Cloud, DOS, and the long-form procurement cycles inherent to the UK government.
