I am delighted to partner with a local product house who are now looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Architect to lead the design and evolution of their platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with product managers, software engineers, data specialists, and stakeholders to create scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support our ambitious growth plans.
As Technical Architect, you will define technical standards, guide architectural decisions, and ensure products are built using modern engineering best practices. You'll balance strategic thinking with practical implementation, helping development teams deliver innovative software that meets business objectives.
What will I be doing?
- Design and maintain the overall technical architecture across the platform.
- Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure architectural standards are consistently applied.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Lead technical design workshops and provide guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Work closely with Product, DevOps, Security, and Data teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, security, performance, and scalability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, code quality, and technical governance.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
What do I need?
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Staff Software Engineer with architecture responsibilities.
- Experience designing distributed, scalable, and resilient systems.
- Excellent understanding of modern software architecture patterns.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing architectural direction.
- BONUS TOGAF or equivalent certification.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong engineering background in C# .Net.
