About the Role
We are scaling a high-growth software business transitioning from ScaleUp mode into a structured, customer-delivery focused organisation. Their customers include large, globally recognised organisations, and the work sits at the intersection of advanced technology and real-world application. As the company scales, it is building a team that combines strong engineering fundamentals with a delivery mindset.
The Opportunity
We are hiring multiple Software Engineers (Full Stack) across levels (Junior, Mid, Senior) to help build and deliver production-grade systems used by major enterprise customers. This is a full stack role, but with an emphasis on backend engineering. You will be working on scalable, distributed systems where backend capability is critical, alongside modern front-end development. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, complex systems in a fast-evolving environment where engineers take ownership, influence decisions, and directly impact delivery outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain scalable applications across front-end and serverless back-end systems
- Collaborate closely with product, delivery, and specialist engineering teams
- Contribute to system design and architectural decisions
- Deliver features end-to-end from concept through to production
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering practices
- Have the opportunity to join customer discussions to better understand requirements and constraints
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving delivery environment
Tech Stack
- Backend: Python and/or Node.js
- Frontend: TypeScript, Vue.js (with an internal component framework)
- Cloud: AWS (serverless architecture Lambda, API Gateway, async/queue-based systems)
What We Are Looking For:
Core Requirements- Experience building full-stack applications, with strong backend capability
- Backend experience with Python or Node.js (essential)
- Strong understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
- Good understanding of systems thinking and how services interact end-to-end
- Experience with AWS, particularly serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, event-driven systems)
- Comfortable operating in a startup/scale-up environment
- Energised by ownership, impact, and ambiguity
- Willing to collaborate cross-functionally, including occasional customer interaction
- Exposure to regulated or high-compliance environments
- Experience working with distributed teams
- ML experience
- Awareness of AI tools, with a pragmatic understanding of constraints
