Really exciting Senior Software Engineer role to help build a new generation of AI-native developer infrastructure. This role focuses on designing and building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and tooling that securely expose platform capabilities to AI agents, internal systems, and developer workflows. You will work on the engineering foundations that enable large language models and agentic systems to interact safely, reliably, and effectively with real production environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and build MCP servers, tools, and integrations
- Develop secure APIs and services for AI agents and internal tooling
- Implement authentication, session handling, streaming, and stateful interactions
- Help define standards and reusable patterns for MCP development
- Contribute to observability, reliability, security, and platform scalability
- Work closely with senior engineers on architecture and AI-native engineering practices
- Build systems that support safe, governed AI-assisted workflows at scale
What We’re Looking For
- Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python
- Experience building APIs, distributed systems, or developer platforms
- Good understanding of modern AI tooling, LLM workflows, and agentic systems
- Hands-on exposure to MCP concepts such as tools, prompts, resources, schemas, and tool orchestration
- Familiarity with OAuth, JWTs, streaming/SSE, and secure service design
- Strong engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and product mindset
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving technical environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloudflare Workers, serverless platforms, or edge environments
- Knowledge of observability, CI/CD, and platform engineering
- Understanding of AI security considerations such as prompt injection and permission scoping
- Experience building internal AI tooling or developer infrastructure
