We are currently supporting a manufacturing business within the advanced alloys sector to recruit an Accounts Assistant. Due to continued growth and increased workload, the finance function is expanding and requires additional support. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive team, with the role offering a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will play a key part in supporting the day to day finance operations, ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of financial data. The role will involve working closely with the wider finance team and requires someone who can quickly adapt to a bespoke internal system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner
- Processing and maintaining financial records with a high level of accuracy
- Supporting general accounts administration tasks
- Adapting to and working with a bespoke finance system (training provided)
- Following up on outstanding items and queries where required
- Ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded and maintained
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working with numbers in a busy environment.
Essential requirements:
- Strong mathematical ability
- Previous experience working within an accounts or finance environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and follow up effectively
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to change
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to import/export processes
- Experience supporting audit preparation
- Familiarity with invoice finance facilities
