Shillito Group are working with a well established, highly regulated manufacturing business looking to strengthen their quality function with an experienced Quality Engineer. This is a hands on role, working closely with production and engineering to improve quality performance, reduce defects, and ensure processes are controlled and compliant.
The Role
- Maintain a strong shopfloor presence, ensuring quality is controlled at source
- Lead root cause investigations (8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC) and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement across scrap, rework and process capability
- Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Apply statistical methods (SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA) to strengthen process control
- Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) where required
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Support audits (internal, customer and regulatory)
- Work cross-functionally to implement sustainable improvements
- Develop and improve SOPs and quality documentation
- Support customer issue resolution and improve overall performance

- Experience using data and statistical tools to drive improvement
- Understanding of working within regulated environments
