Shillito Group are recruiting for their client for a CNC Supervisor to join an established manufacturing business in Rotherham.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows CNC machining, understands programming and can lead a team without disappearing into an office all day.
You'll be supporting the day-to-day running of the machine shop, making sure jobs are ready to go, helping solve technical problems and keeping production moving.
You'll also get involved with programming, tooling, workholding and improving how jobs are manufactured.

- £42,000
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 4pm
- Permanent position
The role
- Supervising CNC and manual machinists
- Making sure the team is prepared for upcoming jobs
- Writing, editing and simulating Fanuc or XYZ programmes
- Supporting prove outs for new jobs and processes
- Improving machining and manufacturing methods
- Developing tooling and workholding solutions
- Reviewing CAD models and manufacturing information
- Producing tooling sheets, SOPs and inspection documentation
- Providing technical support to the machining team
- Working closely with production and design
- Helping improve efficiency, standards and organisation across the department
What we're looking for
You'll need a strong machining background and ideally experience across CNC milling, turning or toolroom environments.
Fanuc and/or XYZ experience would be particularly useful.
We're also looking for:
- CAD/CAM knowledge
- Milling and turning experience
- Team Leader, Cell Leader or supervisory experience
- Good knowledge of tooling and workholding
- Experience improving manufacturing processes
- Lean or continuous improvement experience
- A good understanding of 6S
- Someone comfortable making decisions and solving problems on the shop floor
