Shillito Group is proud to be exclusively partnering with Big Yellow Door Nursery in their search for additional Nursery Nurses to join their unique and exceptional setting. Big Yellow Door Nursery is a privately run day nursery focusing on the care of infants aged 0 to 24 months. Their approach centres around becoming an extension of a little one’s family providing exceptional day‑time care in a beautiful setting. Located in the grounds of a prestigious school, the nursery is well placed to integrate nature into the daily care of its pupils. Due to new funding and an exciting new project, the nursery is looking for passionate and caring Nursery Nurses to join the team as soon as possible in preparation for their expansion in September. Big Yellow Door has built a strong reputation for quality of care. Staff are well supported, with access to funded training through the NDNA and opportunities to grow their skills in areas such as additional needs and medical care. With good staff‑to‑child ratios and a structured, steady daily routine, it is a setting that prioritises doing things properly and ensuring each baby receives the time, attention and care they need. Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding care and learning opportunities for children, particularly within the baby room
- Work in line with the EYFS framework, supporting all 7 areas of learning
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Maintain exceptional safeguarding standards at all times
- Contribute to a warm, engaging and stimulating environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within an Early Years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Paediatric First Aid & Safeguarding Level 2/3
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- A genuine passion for working with children and delivering high standards of care
- Background in medical/nursing care
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
Additional information:
- 4 day working week
- Generous fixed holiday periods: 1 week in August, 2 weeks at Christmas, additional leave available flexibly
