Shillito Group are recruiting for a QC Inspector on behalf of a well‑established Sheffield engineering manufacturer specialising in high integrity fabrication and process plant equipment. This is a hands‑on inspection role within a busy manufacturing environment, working on pressure vessels, heat exchanges, pipework and bespoke fabricated equipment supplied into demanding industrial sectors.

The Role Responsibilities include:

  • Goods inward inspection
  • Reviewing and approving material certification
  • In‑process and final inspection activities
  • Supporting production and engineering teams during manufacture
  • Equipment calibration
  • Working to company quality procedures and ISO standards
  • Using inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and Faro Arm equipment

What They’re Looking For:

  • Experience within fabrication, manufacturing or heavy engineering
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Understanding of fabricated equipment and inspection processes
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing standards
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience with pressure vessels, pipework or process equipment would be advantageous.
