Adept Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and forward-thinking precision engineering manufacturer, for an experienced QA/QC Inspector to join their Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong machining background who takes pride in accuracy, problem-solving and driving high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first-off, in process, and final inspections on precision engineered components.
- Validate dimensional accuracy using tools including CMM, micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and more.
- Complete PPAPs, FAIRs and all required quality documentation.
- Raise NCRs and work collaboratively with production and engineering to deliver timely and effective root cause analysis.
- Compile and present monthly quality data, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance to ISO 9001 through participation in internal and external audits.
- Promote and champion a quality-first approach across the business.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years' QA/QC experience within a precision engineering or machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and related documentation.
- Proficient with a wide range of inspection tools, including CMM and Keyence systems.
- Solid knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge and drive improvement.
- Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work.
