Adept Resourcing is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing company in Pontefract to recruit an Automated Welding Engineer. This role would suit someone with expertise in KUKA robot programming and a solid background in welding and automated processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme, operate, and maintain robotic welding equipment (KUKA preferred)
- Perform offline programming using KUKASIM or equivalent software
- Inspect and verify weld quality to ensure conformance to specifications
- Manage and maintain robot program libraries and backups
- Create and fine-tune new robot welding programs for various applications
- Perform maintenance operations on welding cells and assist with fault resolution
- Train team members on basic robotic operations and troubleshooting
- Suggest and implement process improvements, including the design of JIGs and automation enhancements
Requirements:
- Proven experience programming industrial welding robots (preferably KUKA systems)
- Hands-on welding expertise
- Familiarity with offline programming tools such as KUKASIM
- Experience designing or using JIGs and fixtures for robotic applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm (Early finish on Friday) 40 hours per week. Business closes for Bank Holidays and during the Christmas/New Year period.
