The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling industrial coding and marking solutions to customers in manufacturing and production environments. This role combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to provide suitable solutions, build strong customer relationships, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial sectors
  • Promote industrial inkjet, marking, and coding solutions to customers
  • Understand customer production requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and basic technical presentations
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on sales leads
  • Conduct customer site visits and coordinate with technical and service teams for installations and after-sales support
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers
  • Keep updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activities

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence (required for customer site visits)
  • Experience in industrial equipment, automation, coding & marking, or technical B2B sales preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand technical products and explain them clearly to customers
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently

Added Advantage

  • Experience working in manufacturing or production line environments
  • Knowledge of packaging machinery, industrial printers, or automation systems
