Role Overview
Senior Care Assistants are a vital part of residents’ day‑to‑day lives. You are expected to act as an extension of the resident’s family, providing kindness and compassion. Your responsibilities include supporting residents with all aspects of their daily living, offering emotional and physical support, and maintaining their dignity, independence and happiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility and daily activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Support the care team in maintaining high standards of care.
- Ensure residents’ dignity, independence and happiness remain central.
- Participate in induction and ongoing training, including dementia care specific programmes.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Care (essential).
- NVQ Level 3 in Care (desirable).
- Previous care experience (essential).
- Previous senior care experience (desirable).
- Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
