You will be joining the team at The Old Vicarage, a charming 44-bed quality residential home in Clay Cross, Chesterfield, offering affordable and high-quality care.
Our Senior Care Assistants play an important role in our residents’ day-to-day lives. We see you as an extension of our residents’ families – treating them with the same kindness and compassion you would your own loved ones. You’ll ensure the highest levels of care are maintained, supporting residents with all aspects of daily living, while promoting dignity, independence, and happiness.
We’re looking for an experienced and caring Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated night team at The Old Vicarage Care Home. If you’re passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and want to work in a supportive, friendly environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate, person-centred care in line with residents’ care plans
- Supervise and support care staff to deliver excellent standards of care
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes promptly
- Maintain accurate care records and uphold confidentiality
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and families
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards
- Previous experience in a senior care role (care home experience preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Confident in leading a team and administering medication
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional
- £14.46 per hour
