Responsibilities

  • Preparation of contract budgets and cash flows
  • Control of sub contract accounts including:
  • Measuring of sub-contractors work
  • Checking sub contractor’s submissions
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Quantification and evaluation of variations
  • Preparation of cost and value reconciliations
  • Attend site meetings
  • General contract administration
  • Preparation of material schedules
  • Preparation of monthly valuations
  • Liaise with MQS on claims issues
  • Be totally familiar with the client brief and act in accordance with that
  • Undertake jobs and responsibilities in a professional and business-like manner
  • Honour client and Adeo business confidentialities
  • To manage a small team of QS’s
  • To carry out appraisals with the MQS or appropriate line manager
  • Requirements

    • Have a minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor before you can be considered for a Senior QS position.
    • Demonstrated that you are able to manage medium sized projects independently (1 – 5 million).
    • Able to produce a report of actual performance (CVR’s) against budget on projects.
    • Able to maximise reclaimable value on a project.
    • Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.
    • Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to encourage and support junior members of the team.
