This is a fantastic opportunity to join the insight team of a leading global media agency with a large and innovative range of research solutions, to get close to client's business and communication strategy, to work at an international level with multiple markets, to gain exposure to new insights sources and to build experience across different industries. Our team makes a very significant contribution to our agency's income through work delivered to our clients, and we support nearly every new business pitch. We also develop simple but original ways to help our account teams interrogate industry data sets to quickly answer key client questions - enabling our mission of We Create What's Next, improving the standard of work on our accounts and giving our agency and clients a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Balancing these competing priorities has become a huge challenge and could hinder our future growth. We need an efficient and proactive leader to join us to help support and develop the junior team members as well as help deliver our commercial targets and support the wider agency development roadmap. You won't be intimidated by our jargon or demands from senior stakeholders. You will make sure that requests for new work are filtered and prioritised based on their commercial or strategic importance, whilst also making sure that we build and nurture relationships with different teams in the agency. This role is critical for the future growth of our team, and we are excited to find the right partner to help us achieve our potential. We are based at Bankside, London UK where we are expected to come into the office three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Client Growth: You will have proven experience in helping to create and implement strategies against specified client objectives. It's not essential to have worked in an international media agency before, but you must be comfortable working on multinational business dealing with local markets. You will be expected to be well versed in quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of how to draw insightful conclusions from large volumes of data, identifying trends and patterns, using either a single source of data or multiple sources to create cross-referenced conclusions, drawing on both evidential and creative/intuitive techniques of interpretation.
- Agency Leadership: You will be responsible for delivering insight projects end to end and be an expert in quantitative and/or qualitative research, analysis and interpretation. You will be a line manager and/or mentor to more junior members of the team and will help deliver the company's ambition for the development of the team. You will build relationships with people from across the agency and the network and learn from their experience, to unlock new opportunities for growth. You will support your colleagues and treat everyone you work with respect. You will help make coming to work enjoyable for every member of our organisation.
- Reputational Leadership: You will need to be up-to-date with developments within Insight and Research, and proactively recommend ways to incorporate new techniques into our work. You will develop a deeper understanding of our clients' category and business, and local market nuances. You need to be a proactive and curious learner; keen to develop and learn new skills independently and share and collaborate with a wider team. You will promote the work of our team within the agency - and beyond.
- Client Business Leadership: Leading on ad hoc qualitative and quantitative studies. Experience writing articulate research briefs. Experience delivering concise and compelling insight across the business to help drive action. Have worked across multiple data sources (e.g. first party, syndicated, custom data, AI) to synthesise and triangulate key messages. Knowledge of complex analytical techniques. Significant experience of working with senior stakeholders and leading client relationships. You will work with the team to deliver a response to a client's brief and be able to take on specific areas of responsibility and manage other team members in their delivery. You will ensure all partners are clear and able to deliver against their requirements.
