Northwich Circa £45,000 plus Full time | Onsite with some hybrid working
We are working with a well-established business in Northwich looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director and lead the day-to-day finance function. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with responsibility for month-end, reporting, compliance, and mentoring a small finance team.
Key responsibilities include:- Leading and supporting the finance team, ensuring strong controls and accurate ledgers
- Preparing month-end trial balance, journals, and consolidated management accounts
- Delivering variance analysis, gross margin analysis, and ad-hoc financial reporting
- Supporting statutory compliance (VAT, HMRC, Companies House)
- Managing overseas subsidiary ledgers and liaising with external accountants
- Supporting year-end and bank audits
- Overseeing CID facilities and credit insurance arrangements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) - desirable
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a commercial mindset
- Experience in a mid-sized or group business environment
- Confident communicator with leadership and process-improvement experience
