We\’re working with a well–established business in Northwich looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director and lead the day–to–day finance function.

This is a hands–on, commercially focused role with responsibility for month–end, reporting, compliance, and mentoring a small finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting the finance team, ensuring strong controls and accurate ledgers

Preparing month–end trial balance, journals, and consolidated management accounts

Delivering variance analysis, gross margin analysis, and ad–hoc financial reporting

Supporting statutory compliance (VAT, HMRC, Companies House)

Managing overseas subsidiary ledgers and liaising with external accountants

Supporting year–end and bank audits

Overseeing CID facilities and credit insurance arrangements

About you:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) – desirable

Strong technical and analytical skills with a commercial mindset

Experience in a mid–sized or group business environment

Confident communicator with leadership and process–improvement experience
