Are you an ambitious Financial Controller who is ready for more than month-end reporting? This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact finance leadership role with two growing, privately owned businesses and a clear route towards Finance Director in the short to medium term.
The business operates in specialist manufacturing and distribution, with a combined turnover approaching £20 million and strong plans for continued growth. The businesses are investing in people, systems and commercial capability, and finance is central to that next stage.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader who wants to build, improve and influence. You will take real ownership of the finance function across both businesses, work directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership teams, and play a leading role in turning better financial information into better business decisions.
You will lead on the embedding of a new ERP system, strengthen controls, improve reporting, develop meaningful KPI dashboards and help shape a modern, commercially focused finance function. You will also lead and develop the finance team, creating a function that supports growth rather than simply reports on it.
We are particularly interested in hearing from qualified or highly experienced senior finance professionals who combine strong technical foundations with curiosity, commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively. Experience in manufacturing, product-led businesses, construction materials or ERP implementation would be helpful, but attitude, ownership and appetite to progress are just as important.
