Engineering Manager (Scheduling) - £65,000- £75,000 - Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, delivery, and support of enterprise Saa S applications.
This role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring secure, scalable, high-performing solutions that align with business objectives.
Working closely with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, QA, and Engineering teams, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions, drive Agile delivery, and promote engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop onshore and offshore engineering teams.
- Own technical design, software delivery, and platform evolution.
- Drive Agile delivery, CI/CD, automation, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and meet SLAs.
- Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to deliver roadmap priorities.
- Conduct code reviews, support architectural decisions, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Improve cloud infrastructure, monitoring, testing, and deployment processes.
- Champion Dev Ops, automated testing, and AI-assisted development practices.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams in enterprise or Saa S environments.
- Strong background in Java, Java Script frameworks, SQL, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Dev Ops practices.
- Knowledge of modern software architecture, secure development, and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with C++ is advantageous.
