Are you a tenacious and relationship-driven Credit Controller looking to join a supportive finance team in St Helens?

Adele Carr is partnering with a well-established business that values precision and proactive credit management. You'll take ownership of your own ledger, build rapport with clients, and play a key role in reducing aged debt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email
  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts to reduce aged debt
  • Resolving invoice disputes and account queries promptly and professionally
  • Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
  • Preparing weekly debt reports for management review
  • Working closely with sales and customer service to resolve issues impacting payment
  • Supporting wider month-end processes within the finance team

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
  • Confident with Excel and finance/accounting software
  • A team player with great attention to detail
  • Experience within a B2B environment preferred
