Adele Carr is working with a well-established global organisation to recruit an Accounts Receivable Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team based in Runcorn.
This is a vital role, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing, maintaining a healthy cash flow, and keeping the accounts receivable ledger up to date. You'll be working closely with Project Managers, clients, and internal finance colleagues to drive effective credit control, improve collection processes, and support key financial month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and issue accurate invoices in line with project and client time-lines
- Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively follow up on overdue payments
- Build strong relationships with clients to resolve billing queries efficiently
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain ledger accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all billing data is complete and correct
- Contribute to month-end close activities related to AR and cash collection
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, sales ledger, or billing roles (ideally within professional services)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator who can liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Familiarity with finance or ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
